What Europeans in Guadalajara ask
You can live and work in Spain with your passport. After three months in Guadalajara, you register as a resident: these are the questions people ask about it.
Your question is not here? Put it to us.
I have a Romanian passport and a job in Cabanillas del Campo. What do I need?
A NIE for the employer and, since you live here for more than three months, the green certificate on form EX-18. Your work contract, or the employer’s Social Security paper, is your proof.
Certificado de registro UE Guadalajara: which office issues it?
On policia.es, the EU regime (régimen comunitario) appears under the Brigada on Avenida del Ejército 12. Book the EU certificate procedure for the province of Guadalajara; your confirmation names the office.
Do my children need a certificate too?
Yes. Each child who lives here is registered with a green certificate of their own, with proof of the family link, such as a birth certificate.
I am between jobs. Can I still register?
Work is only one basis. Savings with health insurance, studies or a family link to an EU citizen can be others. Send us your papers and we look at which one fits.
At what point is the 790-012 fee paid?
Ahead of the appointment, in cash at a bank or online. The stamped form or the online receipt then goes into your folder.
Does the padrón come before the green certificate?
Doing it first usually helps: police offices often want to see a padrón certificate, and it is the easiest way to prove your address. You register at your own town hall.
